Last winter we ventured up to the Scottish Highlands for Hogmanay with family and friends. Badaguish lodges are situated just outside Aviemore which is in the middle of the Cairngorms National Park. A fantastic situation beside lochs, mountains and forests. The town itself has everything you need closeby, with a supermarket to fuel your days in the lodge, outdoor clothing shops, a local pub with all the charm that comes with it, a cafe with the best pea & ham soup I’ve had for years and of course a few chippies for a traditional Scottish dinner after a big day outside in the fresh air.
Badaguish lodges are the perfect place to go to with a large group (10-17 people) due to the size of them, number of bedrooms, large kitchen and living shared areas. They are self-catering with a fully equipped kitchen which enables you to cater for large groups for every meal. There is wifi in the shared areas which is good for when you need it but that also gives you a break when you need to disconnect.

Badaguish wigwams are an experience in themselves. As they are smaller they simply offer a sleeping space for up to 4 people. I am assured by our friends that they were very comfortable.

On Hogmanay we all took to the Bothy (on site) to bring in the new year with fireworks beside a roaring fire which was a wonderful way to spend it.
The surrounding area is beautiful, perfect for a walk in the middle of nature. It snowed whilst we were there and I feel like that just made it that much more special.

I would definitely recommend Badaguish for a special stay in the Scottish Highlands.
