My interest in Macrame began during my recent solo travels in Australia when I saw Macrame designs for the first time and loved them! The unique pieces can really give your home a boho, beachy vibe. During quarantine I began experimenting and making them myself and had such a wonderful response through social media that I began making bespoke pieces, made to order. I have now set up an online shop here on my website to make it easier for you to order one for yourself or as a gift for a loved one.
Through this post I can share with you the process of my Macrame pieces – from start to finish! I hope you enjoy following along on the journey!
The beginning…
Each Macrame piece begins with Macrame cotton cord and a wooden dowel. I found the cotton cord made from recycled materials from Airedale Yarns to be a lovely eco-friendly option! I have also ordered coloured yarns and used bamboo sticks and wooden sticks from the park to make truly unique pieces at my client’s requests.
The process…
I learned different knots and styles to suit different tastes. Above are some Macrame pieces I have made for clients. They can all be found and ordered on my Shop
Packaging with love…
I carefully wrap each Macrame piece in tissue paper and seal with a golden heart. I write a thank you note by hand to each customer because I really appreciate your custom.
Thank you for reading!
If you would like to order a piece please do so on my shop page which is live now!
With love,
